27 Kenyans and Somalis Complete Conflict Mitigation Training of Trainers in Mombasa

27 Kenyan and Somali men and women have completed a six day training of trainers (TOT) in Majengo district, Mombasa (Kenya) in Drama for Conflict Transformation (DCT) techniques. They now have the skills to work as youth leaders using DCT to help foster peaceful dialogue and discussion on issues of conflict and tension in their communities.

Czech Deputy Foreign Minister Impressed by EHU Students

Government officials from the Czech Republic met with students and leaders of the European Humanities University, engaging students about the challenges they face as students from a repressive country studying at a university in a free and democratic one. The delegation was particularly interested in EHU’s media programs, which provide students with an opportunity to study journalism and learn media skills in a state-of-the-art production facility.

Youth Films Open Corridor for Community Dialogue in Yemen

Theatre for Peace Project trains 100 Somali youth in Nairobi

IREX Europe and its partner organization the Somali Aid Foundation engage 100 vulnerable Somali youth – helping them discuss and confront the challenges they face as refugees and to resist the efforts of extremists to recruit them back into the ongoing Somali conflict. In February 2011, the first of two youth trainings were held in Eastleigh, taking 100 young people through a series of DCT exercises.
